I recently graduated with a Ph.D. from MIT where I was a researcher in the Networking and Mobile Systems Group within the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). I was advised by Professor Mohammad Alizadeh. My thesis focused on using computer vision techniques to improve video conferencing experience under low-bandwidth and lossy network conditions. In the past, I’ve worked on applying ideas from communication networks to payment channel networks to improve blockchain scalability, and network monitoring and heavy-hitter detection.
Previously, I received a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University where I worked with Professor Jennifer Rexford.
I am also trained in Bharatanatyam, a classical dance form from South India.
I am a trained Bharatanatyam dancer for over 20 years. I began learning Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form, from Guru K.P.Yesodha of Kalanjali, Chennai in 2003 and have continued since. My first solo performance was in Chennai, India in May 2011 and since then, I have given numerous solo performances both in India and in the US. I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities to dance with my dance teacher’s troupe also. I am always on the lookout for gigs and other performance opportunities in India and the US. Please contact me via email if you would like me to perform for you.
